Suicide attempt of the undersecretary arrested with phencidyl

Nuruzzaman, executive director of the Rajshahi district council (deputy secretary), who is jailed for transporting drugs in a government vehicle in Chapainawabganj, has failed in his suicide attempt. He is currently held in the prison cell of the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

The incident took place on Friday but was reported on Sunday. This has created quite a stir in the district.

Meanwhile, Nuruzzaman hanged himself with the strap of his pants on the ceiling of the cabin bathroom at around 2 p.m. Friday. The hospital authorities immediately found out about the matter, knocked down the bathroom door and rescued him. He was later transferred to the prison cell of the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

Ismail Hossain from the Chapainawabganj District Jail said that he too had heard the matter and that Nuruzzaman was receiving treatment in Rajshahi.

It can be mentioned that the Department of Narcotics Control arrested two people, including Nuruzzaman, from the Tolghar area of ​​the Birshreshtha Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir bridge in the city of Chapainawabganj on December 11 at 9:30 pm with 8 liters of Phensidyl in a bottle of soda. When a case was filed at the Sadar Model Police Station the next day, the court sent them to jail.
