Eleven prominent citizens of the country have expressed their support for the statement made by the SP of Kushtia in the context of the liberation war. In a statement, they said that the district police superintendent SM Tanvir Arafat had given a statement on the issue of the vandalism of sculptures by Bangabandhu and the revolutionary Bagha Jatin in Kushtia. Like many others, we have had the opportunity to listen to the speeches broadcast on YouTube. We believe this police officer has spoken out for the liberation war in Bangladesh.
The statement said that his statement on the sculpture issue has once again clarified the basic aspirations of Bangladesh achieved by fighting with the ideology and weapons of Bangabandhu. Similarly, the Hefazat-e-Islam statement against the SP statement has clarified its anti-conscience stance from 1971.
“Everyone knows that on the night of March 25, 1971, the Bangladesh Police formed the first resistance against Pakhanadar forces,” they said in a statement. We have noticed in the speech of the SP from Kushtia that the rebellious conscience of the historians in Rajarbagh. It has taken a firm and conscious stance for Bangladesh in the liberation war. We know this part very well, which contradicts the SP’s statement. These are the defeated forces of evil of 1971. Generation of barbarian Pakistanis. Different eras come to the fore in different identities. Sometimes Jamaat Shibir. Never custody. They still don’t believe in the independence of Bangladesh. For this reason, they have shown the courage to smash the sculpture of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. After that, no discount can be given to them. That is why we think that the SP has given one last warning to these extremists. But we see that the extremists are misinterpreting Ulto SP’s statement without being careful. Doing poisoning. Threatening. The reason is nothing more than a tactical attempt to divert the public’s attention from the issue of sculpture vandalism and arrests of those behind the scenes. Faced with this situation, we strongly demand the arrest of the intimidators. At the same time, we call on people from all walks of life, who believe in the spirit of the liberation war, to build a united resistance.
The bearers of the declaration are Nasir Uddin Yusuf, Sarwar Ali, Ramendu Majumder, Abdus Selim, Mamunur Rashid, Mofidul Haque, Shahriar Kabir, Muntasir Mamun, Nasiruddin Yusuf, Golam Quddush, Hasan Arif and Ahkamullah.
