Tahera Khandaker, Deputy Managing Director of Public Relations at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said that flights to Muscat from Bangladesh Biman will resume regular flights from December 29.

He told bdnews24.com on Sunday that “since the Omani government lifted the ban, flights to Muscat will resume regular flights from the night of December 29.”

Passengers on flights that have been canceled since December 22 have been asked to contact the nearest Biman sales office for tickets.

Tahera Khandaker said seats would be allocated based on their priority, subject to vacancies on the flight.

Oman lifts the previous ban on aviation as new strains of coronavirus spread rapidly in several countries, including the UK, during the epidemic. That is why all flights from Bangladesh Biman to Muscat were canceled for a week starting on December 22.

The plane stopped flying to Muscat on March 21 at the start of the coronavirus epidemic. The flight resumed on October 2.

Biman operates two weekly flights from Dhaka to Muscat and two flights from Chittagong to Muscat.
