A housewife named Taslima Khatun (25) committed suicide in Dhunat upazila de Bogra after not being able to bear her husband’s extramarital affair. The deceased was identified as Taslima Khatun, wife of Likhan Miah, a Saudi expatriate from Gopalnagar village under the Bhandarbari union of Khatun upazila.

Meanwhile, her relatives tried to bury Taslima’s body without informing the police. 21 hours after death, the body of the deceased was sent to the Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy from his father’s home after receiving the news around 4 p.m. Friday.

It is known that Likhan Mia, son of Khoka Mia from Gopalnagar village in Dhunat upazila, married Taslima Khatun, daughter of Tashir Uddin from Baraitali village in Sherpur upazila about eight years ago. Likhan Mia used to work in Saudi Arabia. Likhan has been living in a village house for two months on leave from work. In this situation, Taslima got to know the foreign love of writing with a neighbor.

At one stage in the dispute between husband and wife on this issue, her husband tortured Taslima around noon on Thursday. Unable to bear the foreign love and torture of her husband, Taslima poisoned her husband’s house. He was rescued and taken to the Dhunat Upazila Health Complex. From there, Taslima was transferred to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital by the emergency department doctor.

Taslima died on the way to Bogra Hospital in the Shalfa area of ​​the Dhunat-Sherpur highway around 7 pm Thursday. Taslima’s body was taken to her father’s house in the village of Baraitali, next to the place of death. It was decided to bury Taslima’s body on the condition of writing 5 lakh rupees in the name of Taslima’s father and 4 bighas of earth in the name of Taslima’s two sons.

Likhan Mia said that Taslima committed suicide due to family disturbances. Thinking about the future of my two sons, I was supposed to write 5 lakhs of rupees and 4 bighas of earth.

Ripon Kumar, a doctor in the emergency department of the Dhunat Upazila Health Complex, said that her relatives took Taslima to the Health Complex. But as his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Sherpur Police Inspector (investigation) Abul Kalam Azad said Taslima’s family had not informed the police about her suicide. However, a police officer was dispatched to the scene to take legal action after receiving the news. It will take the necessary measures subject to investigation.

Kripa Sindhu Bala, Police Officer in Charge (CO) of Dhunat, said: “Neither the two families informed me of this.” Even then the matter is being investigated.
