Expat Haji Md. Kobbat Ali
Haji Mohammad shot his dog at Raozan in Chittagong. Kobbat Ali, 48, an expat from Dubai, was killed. He is the son of the late Haji Billal Miah from East Gujra UP No. 10 District No. 10 of upazila.
Locals said Kobbat was chasing a group of dogs near his home around 2 p.m. Friday. At one point he shot a dog. At that moment, he accidentally shot himself with his own pistol. He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
SI Ismail from the East Gujarat Police Outpost Investigation Center confirmed the incident. However, before going to the scene, relatives took the injured person to hospital with their own authorized shots. I heard he died after five in the afternoon. However, the incident will be investigated further.
The Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Raozan Police Station, Abdullah Al Harun, said: “He is an expatriate businessman. The weapon was taken from the Raozan police station two months ago. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after his own licensed double-barreled dog shot him. There the doctors declared him dead. Tomorrow (Saturday) an autopsy will be performed.
