At the BGB-BSF meeting, Bangladesh expressed concern about the presence of an armed regional separatist terrorist group in the Chittagong Hill Tracts region within the Indian state of Mizoram. At the same time, the destruction of these bedrooms is requested.
The request was made at the 51st Director General-level conference of the Bangladesh BGB-BSF and the Indian Border Security Force held in Guwahati, India. This has been reported in the joint press release of the Director General of the two forces.
In response to the BGB’s request, the Director General of BSF referred to the Government of India’s ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ against terrorism and said that appropriate action would be taken against those bedrooms (if any).
