Police have recovered the body of a young man from a septic tank in Munshiganj a month and a half after he disappeared from Fatulla in Narayanganj. The deceased was identified as Kazi Rafiqul Islam Rony, 38. His body was recovered from a septic tank at Sikdarbari in Rampal de Sadar upazila around 8:30 pm on Wednesday (December 23).
The deceased was identified as Kazi Rafiqul Islam Rony, the son of the late Kazi Zaher Uddin from the Lalpur area below the Fatulla Police Station in Narayanganj.
Ronnie previously disappeared on November 2. After missing many searches and not finding him on November 8, his younger brother. Aminul Islam kept a general diary at the Fatullah police station.
Meanwhile, the police arrested the aunt of the late Ruma Begum (51) and the maid Ambia (32). Ruma Begum, who was arrested at the time, gave a confessional statement.
Sadar’s chief of police said. Abubakar Siddique said that Kazi Rafiqul Islam Rony had an extramarital affair with his distant aunt Ruma Begum (26). Ruma’s husband, Jasim Uddin Khandaker, lives in Badda, Dhaka. Ronnie would go to his aunt’s house and spend the night in hiding. At one point, Ronnie’s marriage is arranged elsewhere and Ruma interrupts him. For this he used to take her home by force.
On the day of the incident, November 2, around 10:30 a.m., a vegetable vendor saw Ronnie hiding in a trunk of clothes for fear of public embarrassment. At one point, the trunk locks. Two hours later, Ruma opened the trunk and found Ronnie dead. After a long day and night, Ronnie and Ambia dumped Ronnie’s body into the septic tank the next morning.
