The Minister of Road Transport said: “The bridge of trust that has been built between Bangladesh and India has led to positive progress in the discussion of the Teesta issue and the exchange of water from other rivers. Teesta’s water distribution may happen soon.
Obaidul Quader said: “The relationship between the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the government of Narendra Modi of India has stood the test of time. Many unresolved issues can easily be resolved with a good understanding with neighboring countries, as demonstrated by Bangladesh and India. The peaceful resolution of the long-standing border issue of enclave swapping has further enhanced mutual trust between the two countries.
He said the two countries were discussing the issue of stopping the border killings. “Meetings are being held between the two countries on the border killings,” he said.
