Rajib had opened his mouth more than once a few days ago for not having received due recognition and respect for his work. Some posters with his photo were also read in various places in the state. The party’s secretary general and education minister, Perth Chatterjee, met with him twice to clear up the mess. However, neither of them spoke about what was discussed or what was the outcome of the discussion, saying it was an ‘internal party matter’. When Rajiv Banerjee was called on his mobile phone to get his response to his absence at the cabinet meeting yesterday, he did not answer the phone or respond to an SMS.

Although a section of the Trinamool Congress says that Rajiv has been given important responsibilities in the party at different times, despite the fact that he has been transferred from the Department of Irrigation to the Department of Forests. Important responsibilities have also been given to the district. He is now in charge of a part of Alipurduar. Although he hasn’t visited North Bengal much in recent times, this is the opinion of one section of the base. Nevertheless, the maximum direction of the Trinamool seemed quite relieved by the words of Rajiv.
