The court has ordered the Detective Section (DB) of the police to investigate the extortion case against five people, including the Kotwali OC Mizanur Rahman Police Station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian on Tuesday. Nobody gave the order.
The other defendants in the case are Kotwali Police Station SI Anisul Islam, ASI Khairul Islam, Shahidul Islam and Source Delwar Hossain.
On November 16, the businessman said. Rahim presented the case in court. That same day, the court accepted the plaintiff’s statement and awaited the investigation of the case. Although the order was supposed to be issued on December 3, it did not happen. Subsequently, the court issued the order.

According to the case, Rahim was returning home from the Charkaliganj Zilla Parishad market on the night of October 12. At around 8pm, he was detained by three unidentified people at the Chunkutia Bridge of the South Keraniganj Police Station. They introduced themselves as DB policemen from Dhaka district. They said there was an arrest warrant for Rahim. They took Rahim to a store and searched him. After searching and finding nothing, they took him out of the store and brought him to the Babu Bazar bridge. SI Anisul Islam, ASI Khairul Islam and Source Delwar were present there.
All three removed 650 pieces of yaba and said they had been obtained from Rahim. The defendant then demanded two lakh rupees from Rahim. He threatened to incriminate the drug trafficker if he did not obtain the money. To save himself, Rahim gave Anisul a gold chain and 13,000 rupees in cash.
Then Rahim was taken to the police station at night. Later, Rahim contacted the family members and paid another Rs 50,000. Then Rahim was sent to court with 10 pieces of yaba. Rahim was released on bail on October 30 after 17 days in jail.
