The former vice president of Daksh Nurul Haque Nuru has said that the current government is terrified of losing power.
He made the remarks at a rally on Tuesday to mark the first anniversary of the attack on the Dhaka University Student Parliament in Dhaka’s Puran Paltan.
Nurul Haque Nuru said: ‘I will tell the brothers of all political organizations on the right and left that this government is terrified and terrified of losing power. So they want to control the gathering of people today.
He said: ‘You have seen that gatherings and rallies have been banned in this DMP. We are not holding today’s rally without permission from DMP. We do not lend to this illegitimate government without voters or to the DMP to hold any kind of meeting. The constitution has given us the right to hold meetings and processions. Who is going to remove the government without voters? So I will tell all political parties not to take any permission from this non-voting government or the DMP to hold demonstrations. If you hold a meeting with the permission of this government, then we will think that you are obeying the laws of the dictatorship and surrendering to the dictatorship.
Nur said: ‘The government has now realized that people on all sides have become angry. That is why they have become reckless. How the scholars attacked the ulama in this Baitul Mukarram. Through Waz Mahfil, people receive religious education, people correct themselves, repent at the hand of scholars, return from the path of sin. But today this government has stopped the waz mahfil of academics all over Bangladesh by making sculpture dramas.
Commenting that the government is deliberately creating Islamophobia to show the West, Nur said: “The government is insulting the Alem Ulama in various languages like wooden mullahs, militants, Jamaat-e-Islami. We see that the mayor of this city, without a vote, mocked the Alem Ulama and said: ‘Your parents sent you to Pitaiya Madrasa so that you have become Alem. I have learned a lot by sitting at home and learning Alif, or Ta, Chha ‘. I will say that you have become a tyrant. Today you faced the scholars. “
He said: ‘I will tell all the people who do not belong to the community of this country, we cannot fall into the trap of the illegal government without voters. They have tried to get help from the West by doing militant dramas at different times. Westerners have understood that there is an extremist Islamism in this country. That is why they have staged dramas of various militant operations.
“When Europe and the United States lobbied this government to restore democracy and human rights, the BCL, Juba League and Awami Pandas were brought down by doing sculpture dramas to showcase these Westerners,” Nur said.
Addressing Alem-Ulama, the former Daksh vice president said: “I want to tell Alem-Ulama today that you will not fall into the government’s trap.” In the same way that he takes to the field on religious questions, he must wage jihad against the oppression of the people. It is not necessary to speak only of one or two subjects of sculpture and educational policy. In order for people in society to live a beautiful life, they must have a definite opinion on all matters.
Nurul Haque Nur said: “Today I will tell the people of the country to support the unity of youth that has been created for the realization of the dream of the liberation war and the implementation of democratic Bangladesh.” Our Student Rights Council, Youth Rights Council, and Workers’ Rights Council are working to establish the rights of individuals across the country. People are working to establish their rights. The People’s Rights Council will be our political party very soon.
Earlier at 12:30 pm, the Student Rights Council came to the corner of the platoon with a black flag procession to protest the first anniversary of the attack on the Dhaka University Student Parliament from central Shaheed Minar.
