Mehedi Hasan Ashiq Rabbani alias Babu, 20, was arrested in the Maijdi area of Noakhali on Monday.

The main defendant in the case, Rakibul Hasan, alias Aryan, was arrested by the Chittagong police on December 16.
The university student’s mother has filed a case with the Akbar Shah Police Station alleging that the incident took place in a house in the East Feroz Shah neighborhood on December 11. Mehdi’s house where the rape took place.
According to the lawsuit, Aryan had an affair with her twelfth grade daughter. But the college student began avoiding Aryan because she was prohibited from doing it from home.
On the afternoon of December 11, the college student was on her way to the GEC intersection to buy books when Aryan called her and told her that she had been injured in a motorcycle accident and asked to meet her at her friend Mehdi’s house in East Feroz Shah Colony.
When the university student went there, her mother alleged that she was raped by two men.
The student’s mother said in the case that no one else was at Mehdi’s home at the time of the incident. They released loud songs so that their daughter’s screams would not be heard outside.
According to locals, the defendants Aryan and Mehedi are “known as scoundrels” in the area. They were ‘living a reckless life’ at the urging of a man from the local Juba League.
