In his speech, the Army Chief of Staff highlighted the various achievements of the Army in addressing the Crown in the country, the success achieved by the United Nations in maintaining peace, the successful leadership of the Prime Minister and the construction of the Padma Bridge.
He said: “In the midst of such proud success, some vested interests have been trying for months to destabilize the existing situation by spreading ridiculous propaganda and rumors about the pride of the country and the nation. The insidious mahal must understand that the Bangladesh army is a much more mature, trained and professional army than in the past. It was not possible to confuse them by spreading propaganda and rumors. Inshallah will not be able to do so in the future. I thank the command heads at all levels for this and instruct them to be on the lookout for such propaganda, rumors, propaganda in the coming days.
According to ISPR, a smart contingent from the Army Dental Corps held a parade and greeted the main guest when the army chief arrived on the scene. Later, the Army Chief of Staff officially raised the flag of the newly formed Military Dental Center in Dhaka. At the same time, he remembered the heroic freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in the 1971 liberation war. The Chief of Staff of the Army thanked all those interested for displaying an orderly, pleasant and colorful parade on the occasion of the raising of the flag.
ISPR further said that after independence, the Army Dental Corps’ journey began in 1972 with the determination of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and under the direct direction of four dental surgeons in newly independent Bangladesh. Later, due to a lack of qualified manpower and administrative reasons, the military dental centers were merged as the CMH dental wing. In 2017, as part of the ‘Forces Target 2030’ formulated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Army Dental Corps began its journey with the establishment of 23 military dental centers. The Army Dental Corps flag was subsequently approved under the direct direction of the Chief of the Army. Following this, a flag-raising ceremony was held at the Dhaka Military Dental Center.
The event, organized under the general direction of the headquarters logistics area, was attended by senior army commanders and army personnel of various ranks.
