The Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) has released a plan for a new mosque and adjoining hospital on five acres of land handed over at the Ram Mandir site in Ayodhya, India.

According to a report by India Today, the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation, formed by the country’s Sunni Waqf Board, responsible for the construction of the new mosque in Dhanipur near the Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway, unveiled the design of the facilities of the mosque on Saturday.

The design shows that the mosque has a huge dome on top in keeping with tradition, but it is being built in the style of Western architecture from the beginning. The main building of the mosque is also an example of modern architecture. There is also parking on the premises of the mosque.

Members of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation said the foundation stone for the proposed mosque would be laid on January 26 next year.

Akhtar Hussain, secretary of the foundation, said the IICF has set January 26, 2021 as the date for laying the foundation stone for the proposed mosque. Because seven decades ago, the Constitution of India came into force on that day.
