The verdict in the case, presented by the National Revenue Board, said the defendants had been found guilty of tax evasion, undisclosed income and giving false information.

The testimony of 11 people was taken on behalf of the state in the case. Shahid Uddin did not have a lawyer, as he had been on the run since the beginning of the case. He did not even contest the case.

According to the verdict, Shahid Uddin evaded the tax of Tk 741328 in fiscal year 2014-2015, Tk 92512700 in fiscal year 2016-2017, Tk 80814221 in fiscal year 2016-2017 and filed income tax returns even after issue the notice in fiscal year 2018-2019. He committed the crime.

In early November 10, the Fourth Metropolitan Special Court in Dhaka sentenced four people, including the retired army officer and his wife Farzana Anjum Khan, to life imprisonment in a weapons case. Farzana is also a fugitive.
