College student hacked and injured in Rajshahi

A college student has been hacked and injured in Rajshahi. The injured student’s name is Farzana Tasnim Simran (20).

On Saturday night, the victim’s mother filed a complaint with the Boalia police station. Police arrested a young woman accused in the attack.

Hours earlier, the incident took place in the Tikapara area of ​​the Boalia police station. Simran is currently in treatment in Ward 3 of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RAMEC).

Farzana Tasnim Simran, an injured student, is a freshman in the Department of Agribusiness at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. She is the daughter of the late Altaf Hossain from the Tikapara area of ​​the Boalia Police Station.

Meanwhile, the defendant Jharna is a resident of the Tikapara Mirerchak area of ​​the Boalia Police Station. His mother Zarina Begum is the victim’s maid.

Farida Yasmin, the victim’s mother, said that Jharna came to our house at noon. At that time my daughter Simran was going out to open the door of the house to meet her girlfriend. Suddenly I saw my daughter holding her head hair and pulling hard, the fountain hit the left side of the chest with a fork. When Simran screamed, Jharna opened the door of the house and tried to flee, but the locals arrested him.

Boalia ASI Shariful Islam Police Station said defendant Jharna was arrested in the incident. He is being treated at Ramek Hospital because he is ill.

A search of the scene revealed a sharp knife, including a machete, used in the attack on her toiletry bag.

It was not immediately clear what triggered the attack.
