The program was held under the slogan ‘Society of Protest Artists’ at the Shaheed Minar central facility on Saturday. In solidarity with the artists, people of various classes and professions participated, including political and cultural activists.

In the program, the artists made symbolic sculptures on the human belt and also sculpted the figure and index finger of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In addition, the artists protested by making satirical drawings of the “fundamentalist forces of evil.”

Speaking on the occasion, Nisar Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dhaka University, said: Creating. Once again, we see that we are moving forward overcoming these obstacles. But we have done some things irresponsibly. One of them is to export human beings to the Middle East and turn them into slaves. They went there and carried out various activities with the country. We have not enlightened the dark madrasas with those thoughts or their upbringing. We work according to your needs without any commitment. Now is the time to control these madrassas ”.

The artist said: “The sermons of the mosques speak a lot against the culture and the liberation war of this country. Many people from the ruling party live there. But they don’t protest. As a result, bystanders think this to be true and are affected by it. Fundamentalists cannot be resisted if they just stand in the streets and protest without protesting. They have to hold out there. “

Freedom fighter and cultural figure Nasir Uddin Yusuf Bachchu said: “The symbolic sculpture of the sculpture that they have broken has been built here. It is an artistic protest. We will resist them by building unity on the basis of culture ”.

He said: “Sculpture is not just an art, it contains history and tradition. They are against the installation of the Bangabandhu sculpture, they are conspiring to erase our history and tradition by breaking the sculpture in Kushtia, they are against the Bengali culture. They are opposed to the culture on which our nationalism is based. The great awakening that took place under Bangabandhu’s leadership in Bangladesh’s freedom struggle was based on secularism, nationalism based on equal rights for all people, language and culture, and socialism.

“But the descendants of the defeated forces of 1971 are creating confusion among people today in the name of religion. They are trying to divide the entire nation in the name of one particular religion. The father of Charmonai Pir’s son has been shown bold with the sculpture in Dholaipara, has said his own father, has opposed the liberation war of 1971. We all know about the family of Mamunul Haque ”.

Nasir Uddin Yusuf Bachchu, complaining of violating the constitution by opposing the Bangabandhu sculpture, said: “They have broken the sculpture of the father of the nation in Kushtia, the Bagha Jatin sculpture. Despite such horrible acts, they live with pride. As a freedom fighter, he is a source of shame for us, a source of shame for the nation. We believe that they should be punished. They should be punished for violating the constitution, not for conflict. We have to present a case against him for violating the constitution, that is our demand ”.

Asim Kumar Ukil, cultural secretary of the Awami League, said: “Today, the defeated forces of 1971, the anti-consciousness forces of the liberation war formed under the political auspices of the religious businessmen Jamaat-Shibir Razakars have started a new conspiracy. . Bangabandhu’s sculpture broke in December, the month of victory. They have created instability across the country for the sake of religion.

“Bangladesh, which was founded on the blood of three million martyrs, a country that was founded on the blood of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and tribals, will not be able to pursue any religious policy. At any cost, we will defend the nationalism and secularism of the Bengalis. And that is why today I have joined these agitated artists in full solidarity on behalf of the Awami League of Bangladesh.

Awami League Deputy General Secretary Biswas Matiur Rahman Badsha, Awami Youth League Liberation War Affairs Secretary Golam Kibria Shamim, JSD Deputy General Secretary Rokuzzaman Rokon, member of the committee for the elimination of killer runners Dr. Mamun Al Mahtab, FM Shaheen, general secretary of Gaurab 71, painters Biren Som and Moniruzzaman.
