Four youths have been rescued by an Air Force helicopter after they got lost while walking down Himchhari Darianagar Hill in Cox’s Bazar. The incident occurred on the last afternoon of Saturday. The youth are all residents of Cox’s Bazar.
The rescued youths are Avik Pal (28) from Ghonar Para in Cox’s Bazar town, Saimum Alam Rafsan (28) from Baitush Sharaf Road, Sabiul Bashar Mizbah (28) from South Rumaliarchhara and Abir Shah from the same area.
It was learned that 4 colleagues from Cox’s Bazar went to see Himchhari Hill on Saturday morning. The 4 friends climbed Himchhari Hill through the Kalatli Darianagar area in one stage.
Mizanul Haque, the inspector in charge of the Himchhari police post in Cox’s Bazar, said the two young men, who had embarked on an adventure, circled some Himchhari hills and got stuck because they couldn’t find their way to the plains. They were scared on the lonely hill and at one point they called 999 and asked for help.
After receiving the 999 news, the outpost police went to rescue the passengers as usual. But the police could not find a way to bring them down from the high mountains. Eventually, the news was given to the Air Force.
Group captain Mamunur Rashid, commander of the Sheikh Hasina Radar Unit at Cox’s Bazar Air Force Base, said a 999 call on Saturday afternoon reported that four youths had been lost while roaming the hills. deep near Himchhari in Cox’s Bazar. After receiving the information, the Air Force rescue team communicated with the youths through their mobile phones.
After confirming the location of the wrong youths by turning their mobiles, they were rescued from the hills by an Air Force helicopter and taken to Cox’s Bazar Airport. The rescued youths were later handed over to their parents by the police.
