Jasmine Akhter, 23, and Mohsin Ali, 26, were married in Rajshahi’s Bagmara upazila on Friday afternoon (December 16). However, on paper, only that marriage took place, Barapaksha could not go home to his wife. Previously, the bride and groom had a heated discussion about the distribution of gifts given to the wedding guests. Divorce occurs within hours of marriage.
According to police and locals, Jasmine Akhter from the village of Ismailpur in the same upazila married Mohsin Ali from the village of Telipukur Gangopara in Bagmara upazila on Friday at a price of 100,000 rupees. However, when the new bride is brought into the groom’s house, danger arises. The dispute over the distribution of gifts first reached a climax and then the dispute. This condition lasts until late at night. The matter was brought to the attention of the police through the local leaders of the Awami League. Later, the two parties agreed to separate rather than reconcile. The formality of the separation of the bride and groom is done by calling the Kazi who teaches marriage.
However, when contacted to find out about this, both parties did not want to make any official comment.
Azahar Ali, a neighbor of the groom and a former UP member, said both parties should have calmed down a bit. However, this incident happened because no one was saved.
The marriage registrar Akkach said the marriage took place with the consent of the two families. But the divorce has occurred due to the monomalence of the couple. The separation was also with the consent of both parties.
When asked, Bagmara Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Afzal Hossain said that he had heard that the two parties had separated. However, no one has complained about this. The police will take legal action if a complaint is received.
