The ‘questionnaire has been difficult’. Apprentice lawyers from two centers in the capital have boycotted the Bar Association exams, claiming that even 10 percent of candidates will fail. At that moment they came out of the exam room with questions and notebooks.

The incident took place at the Dhaka Metropolitan Women’s College in the capital’s Laxmibazar on Saturday (December 19) morning. A similar incident took place at Mohammadpur Government School and College. The test center was also vandalized there.

When exams began at the Dhaka Metropolitan Women’s College in Laxmibazar in the capital on Saturday morning, some students at first complained that the question was not correct. So many joined them. In a moment they got up from their seats. When the test was over, the commotion began. At this time some candidates tried to take the test but the rest discouraged them. They dragged the test takers’ books and left.

One of the candidates, who did not want to be identified, told Jago News: It was no doubt. There can be no such question in the examination of the judiciary. So we left without trying. Some students wanted to take the test but the rest took them out. Now the students are standing outside the hall.

Rafiqul Islam, secretary of the Bar Association, said: “We have heard of incidents of this type in two corridors. The test will continue. Those who protested not to take the test are doing it.

When asked what would be decided on the overall issue, he said: “We will make a decision sitting down.” Testing will continue for now.

The test started at 9 a.m. on Saturday in nine centers in the capital. Approximately 13,000 lawyers-in-training participated in the Bar Association written test.
