Anwar Hossain, the new DC, told bdnews24.com on Friday that six of the nine brothers had graduated from Dhaka University and one from Mymensingh Medical College.

Four of the nine brothers passed the BCS exam and joined first-class government service. A government employee is working on a project. After finishing their studies, three people are trying to get government jobs. One brother did not study much.

Anwar said that his third sister Rebecca Sultana was working as an upazila facilitator in a local government department project.

His fourth brother, Kamal Hossain, passed from Mymensingh Medical and joined the government service through the 27th BCS. He is currently the Registry Assistant of the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospitals, Agargaon, Dhaka.

Anwar said that his fifth brother Mubarak Hossain did not get very far in his studies and lived with his parents in a village house in Mymensingh.

The sixth sister Tania Sultana is in charge of the Additional Superintendent of Police of the Shibalaya Circle in Manikganj. He joined the police through the 31st BCS.

“Seventh Sister Munira is teaching BCS after graduating and graduating in economics from Sultana Anandamohan College.”

Anwar said that his eighth brother, Ehsanul Hasan, studied at Dhaka University. Later, looking for a job with a degree from a private university, he is also giving BCS.

And the youngest Sumaiya Sultana is giving BCS after graduating from the psychology department at Dhaka University, Anwar said.

“My father retired as a train station chief in 2005. Mother raised us, she did the real work. They live in Vidyaganj village in Kushtia Namapara, in Sadar upazila of Mymensingh.”

He said that his older brother Kamrul Hasan, who is in charge of Habiganj DC, was very happy with the news of Anwar’s appointment as DC.

“Two brothers like us are not known to be in charge of DC together. Alhamdulillah Allah has given us the opportunity to serve the people. With the confidence that the government has given us important responsibilities, we will try to serve the people in the same way.

Anwar said that for the first time he took the BCS exam and got a job in the administrative cadre. “No one came back from where we did the test,” he said.

Anwar said that his older brother Kamrul joined the educational cadre in the 20th BCS and then got a job in the administrative cadre in the 21st BCS.
