Terrorist police bombing Mohammadpur at noon, shot by ASI

The shooting took place at a house on Boishakhi Road in Mohammadpur on Thursday when the defendant was arrested on a warrant. In this incident, ASI Ujjal was shot in the right leg. Police also responded to fire in the attack. The terrorist and drug dealer Ibrahim Chowdhury was shot in the howitzers.

Police arrested Ibrahim with a pistol in the incident. ASI Ujjal works at the Rayerbazar Police Post in Mohammadpur. He was admitted to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. The terrorist Ibrahim has been admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Police said that on Thursday morning, ASI Ujjal received word that four terrorists, including the defendant Hakim, were selling yaba from a house on Boishakhi Road in Mohammadpur. At around 9.30am, ASI went there with Ujjal Force. Sensing the presence of the police, the terrorists opened fire. Ujjal was shot. He was shot twice in the right leg. The police also responded. Terrorist and police bombings caused panic in the area. At one point in the shooting, the terrorist Ibrahim was shot in the neck. The police arrested him with a pistol. The other three escaped. Ibrahim is being treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital under police surveillance. ASI Ujjal is in treatment at Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. It has been bleeding profusely.

Mrityunjay De Sajal, ADC, Mohammadpur Zone, told Jugantar that Ibrahim Chowdhury was arrested with a pistol and 200 pieces of yaba. There are drug cases against him in different police stations. Following the incident, an operation is underway in the area to arrest Ibrahim Chowdhury’s associates and recover drugs.
