Case brought against 38 people, including Mamunul Haque, for killing Allama Shafi

A case has been brought in court against 38 people, including Mamunul Haque, the deputy general secretary of the current Hifazat committee, for the premeditated murder of the late Amir Allama Shafi of Hifazat. The court ordered the Police Investigation Office (PBI) to investigate the case.

Allama Ahmed Shafi’s brother-in-law, Mohammad Main Uddin, presented the case at Judicial Magistrates Court 3 in Chittagong on Thursday morning.

The plaintiff’s lawyer, defense attorney Mohammad Abu Hanif, said six people, including the plaintiff, have been called as witnesses in the case.

The court learned of the case and ordered the Police Investigation Directorate (PBI) to investigate.

Earlier, Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, the emir of Hefazat-e-Islam, claimed that he had been killed.
