After the conference, Bangladesh and India will find ways to take the “strong and historic” relationship between Dhaka and Delhi to the next level by expanding the areas of cooperation between them.
Bangladesh is celebrating the centenary of the birth of the nation’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman this year and will mark the 50th anniversary of the War of Independence and the establishment of India-Bangladesh bilateral diplomatic relations in 2021.

Mentioning that the Indian part of the road is open, the Foreign Minister said: “It will include Mujibnagar in Meherpur district.” This path will help increase person-to-person contacts between the two countries.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been personally invited to visit Bangladesh to jointly celebrate Bangladesh’s Independence Day on March 26 next year. This invitation has been accepted in principle by India.
In March this year, the two prime ministers attended a virtual meeting of SAARC countries on cooperation to address the Covid-19 situation in South Asia.
