On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, supporters from both sides of the officials engaged in fights and struggles as they paid tribute to the 1971 martyrs at the Shahid Bedi on the campus of the Islamic University of Kushtia.

Members of the Islamic University Officers Association and the Islamic University Officers Association broke flower wreaths and made bamboo sticks and attacked each other during the incident at ‘Mukta Bangla’, one of the memorial sculptures of the Liberation War on campus Wednesday morning.

Several university professors and journalists have been attacked in an attempt to quell the clashes. Apart from this, there have been reports of breaking the crown and stomping on the feet. Then the whole altar was destroyed.
