He said: ‘The people of Bangladesh are religious, not fanatic. Don’t use religion as a political tool. Everyone has the right to practice their religion. Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. The country has become independent in exchange for the blood of people of all religions, castes, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians. This is the Bangladesh of Lalon Shah, Rabindranath, Kazi Nazrul, Jibanananda. This is the Bangladesh of Shahjalal, Shahparan, Shah Makhdum, Khanjahan Ali. This is the Bangladesh of Sheikh Mujib, the Bangladesh of sixteen and a half crore Bengalis. This country is patient. We will not allow any kind of division and chaos in the name of religion in this country. The people of this country will advance along the path of progress, progress and development upholding religious values.

I have made a special assignment for the students and teachers of the madrasa. Beautiful mosques are being built in all districts and upazila. We have formed a wellness foundation to help the imams and muezzins. Mosque-based libraries have been created across the country under the auspices of the Islamic Foundation. Arrangements have been made for the employment of hundreds of thousands of scholars and ulama.
Calling for caution in the Corona situation, Sheikh Hasina said: “We have to celebrate Victory Day this year in a different situation. The coronavirus epidemic has caused changes in our daily routine. We have to carry out our personal, social and state activities. avoiding public gatherings in compliance with hygiene rules. Every human life is precious. It is not desirable for a person to die from negligence. Therefore, I ask everyone to follow the hygiene rules and complete all activities, including the celebration of Victory Day. You must wear a mask when leaving the house and occasionally wash your hands with soap or disinfectant. Your protection, a safeguard for all.
Sheikh Hasina said: “This year we are celebrating the centenary of the birth of the Father of the Nation. However, due to the coronavirus, we had to make some changes to our program. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of our independence. In the absence of this coronavirus epidemic, we will celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Independence with due enthusiasm, InshaAllah. At the same time, the centenary celebrations of the birth of the father of the nation will continue.
Addressing the people, Sheikh Hasina said: “Come on the eve of Victory Day, let us take an oath again not to forget the blood debt of millions of martyrs.” Let us not allow the non-community consciousness of the liberation war to be distorted.
