Bangladesh Muktiyuddha Mancha conducted the program with teachers and students from the madrasa in front of the National Museum on Tuesday.
Speakers on the Human Network demanded the death penalty for both ‘rape’ and rape. In addition, they made several demands to streamline the educational system of the madrassa. These include ensuring freedom of expression for madrassa students, increasing vigilance by establishing monitoring cells to stop sexual harassment of madrassa students, playing regular national anthems in all madrasah educational institutions, hoisting national flags, build Shaheed Minar and take the necessary steps to make the history of the liberation war mandatory. .
Expressing solidarity with the human chain, Shamsul Uloom Daudia Hafizia Madrasa and Mohtamim Qari Hafez Maulana Abdul Ahad from the orphanage said: “Rape is completely forbidden in the eyes of Islam. Rapists and their followers are enemies of Islam. Today we are in the streets with the teachers and students of the madrasa to protest against rape.
“We, the Alem Samaj, are demanding that the government guarantee that the maximum punishment for rape is death.”
Muktijuddha Mancha President Aminul Islam Bulbul said: “In the last month, around 40 Komalmati students from Madrasas have been raped in the country. Two of them have died and one child has already committed suicide. But sadly, we still haven’t seen any comments or protests from the country’s academics about the rape. ”
Criticizing the leaders of Hifazat-e-Islam in this regard, he said: “The leaders of Hifazat-e-Islam, who claim to be Islamic parties, have also played a silent role in the rape incidents. It is clear from this that Mamunul-Faizul Gangra is a silent supporter of rape. His masks must be unveiled in front of the nation. “
Secretary General of the War of Liberation. Al-Mamun said: “The Holy Mosque is a place of worship for Muslims. But political activities are taking place in those mosques and madrasas. Religious merchants must stop these misdeeds immediately. Muktijuddha Mancha demands increased vigilance to stop sexual harassment in the country’s madrassas, as well as guaranteeing the maximum death penalty for those accused of rape and other crimes ”.
