In Narsingdi, malefactors hacked an NGO worker in broad daylight and seized 160,000 taka from her. At that moment, he snatched her mobile phone and an eyelash.

NGO worker Shanta Akhter (31) lost her left wrist due to the sharp weapon of the kidnappers. He was rescued in critical condition and sent to the hospital for the disabled in Dhaka.

The incident occurred in the area adjacent to the Paschimkanda Para Women’s College in the municipality on Tuesday afternoon. The injured Shanta Akhter is the wife of Nadib Miah from the Sangeeta area.

According to the police and relatives, the injured Shanta Akhter is a field worker for an NGO. I toured the area for the collection of fees in different areas. When she reached the Paschimkanda Para Women’s College area of ​​the municipal city, some thieves arrested her. At this point, the kidnapper tried to snatch her purse. When he resisted, the robbers beat him with a sharp weapon in his left hand. This separated her wrists.

Later, when Shanta Akhter fell to the ground unaccompanied, the thieves stole her valuables, including cash and a mobile phone. Subsequently, the people of the area came forward and rescued him and admitted him first to the Sadar Hospital. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was sent to the hospital for the disabled in Dhaka. Upon receiving the news, the Model Police Station visited the place and the hospital.

Model Sadar OC Biplob Kumar Dutt police station said the injured NGO worker was sent to Dhaka. Police have started searching various locations to catch the kidnappers.
