The mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh, has announced that the campaign will resume if his head is not buried in December as promised.

Mayor Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh said this while speaking to reporters in the area adjacent to the Abahani field in Dhanmondi during a weekly visit on Tuesday afternoon.

The mayor of DSCC said that after discussions with the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) and Cable Operators of Bangladesh (COAB), he was given the opportunity to carry his head hanging underground without compensation inside of a specific period of time. For this, the Dhanmondi area has been chosen first. He said: “Today I have come to check on your progress. But the stage they are in is not one of satisfaction. They say they will be able to remove the pendant from the main roads of Dhaka in December.

Responding to a question from reporters, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said the deadline for the program had been extended by one month to December at the request of ISPAB and KOAB.
