Police have recovered the body of a boy named Sifat Ahmed (4) from the Dolphin Bakery side in the Dargarchala village of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur. His body was recovered around 10:30 pm on Monday. A 12-year-old boy has been taken into police custody for his alleged role in the incident.

Sifat Ahmed is the son of Abu Bakkar Siddique, a tenant of Haji Abdus Salam’s house in the Barnamala Mor area of ​​Kewa Paschim Khand village in Sreepur upazila. The child taken into police custody is a seventh grade student from a school. The two children lived in the area with their parents. The police did not immediately know the details of the house in his village.

Sreepur (SI) Police Deputy Inspector Ankur Kumar told Prothom Alo that Shishu Sifat had been missing since Monday morning. Another child was taken into police custody for questioning on suspicion by the family. According to the information provided by him, the body of the missing minor was recovered.
