The latest announcement of a new relationship with Bhutan follows Israel’s decision to normalize relations with the four countries.

On Saturday, Israel’s ambassador to India and the Bhutanese ambassador signed an agreement to establish “formal diplomatic relations” between the two countries.

“The agreement was reached after years of secret contacts between the two parties with the aim of establishing relations,” Israel’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

As a result of the agreement, various opportunities and cooperation will open up for the people of the two countries.

“This agreement with Bhutan is another milestone in building Israel’s closest ties in Asia,” he said.

Earlier, four countries, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco, announced plans to normalize relations with Israel. Morocco recently announced on Thursday that it had agreed to normalize diplomatic relations with Israel.

All four countries have made this decision with the mediation of the United States. However, Bhutan did not decide to establish relations with Israel through US mediation, but India is believed to have played a role.
