The death of Allama Noor Hossain Qasemi, a prominent academic and secretary general of Hifazat-e-Islam, has cast a shadow of mourning on the country’s religious scene.

The veteran academic took his last breath at the United Hospital in the capital around 1:15 pm on Sunday.

Muhyus Sunnah Allama Mahmudul Hasan, President of Al Hayatul Uliya and Acting President of BEFAC, has expressed his deep sorrow at the death of this prominent academic.
