A mother of a child has been charged with gang rape in Madcharipur’s Shibchar due to a woman’s earlier enmity. The victim filed a rape case at the Shibchar police station on Saturday night (December 12). During the night, the police arrested two people, including the woman, accused of being involved in rape and collaborating.
Sources said the housewife was forcibly stopped by an easy bicycle in front of Panchchar Sonar Bangla Plaza in upazila on Saturday afternoon and taken to a one-story house in the Panchchar Bakhrerkandi project by five people, including Akhi Akhter. and Sumon Mollah. There, several people raped her in two assaults until the afternoon, keeping her hands, feet and face tied. Later, around 5.30 in the afternoon, when they took him to another place to rape him again by binding his face, the locals arrived with a motorcycle and blocked the passage of the easy bike. The housewife was rescued by locals after defendants at EasyBy quickly fled. The victim filed a rape case against five people, including a woman, at the Shibchar Police Station at night.
According to the details of the case, police sources and the victim, the wife of expatriate Akhi Akter (25) from the Rajarchar Mollakandi area of upazila and the victim were previously known. Akhir has been known as a sex worker for a long time. While living in Akhi Shibchar municipal area, the victim proposed to the woman to become a sex worker 3 months ago. Upon learning of the incident, the victim’s family members severely beat Akhi. So Akhi left the place and rented a house in the Bakhrerkandi project. There he lived with Subal Mandal alias Sumon Mollah. The victim went to see her cousin near Panchchar Sonarbangla Plaza on Saturday to borrow money to buy milk for the baby. Due to previous hostilities, Akhi and his accomplices forcibly picked up the housewife from an easy bike from Sonar Bangla Plaza on Saturday afternoon and locked her in an abandoned house in the Bakharkandi project. They took him there and beat him first. She was later raped more than once by three men named Sohail, Eskan, and Subal Mandal. Later, around 5.30pm, the housewife opened her mouth and screamed as she was taken to another place to rape her again. At his shout, the locals arrived with a motorcycle and blocked the easybike. The locals rescued the housewife when the defendants at EasyBy quickly fled.
The victim filed a rape case against Akhi Akhter (25), Subal Mandal aka Sumon Mollah (32), Sohail (35), Eskan (38) and autorickshaw driver Sohag Hawlader (35) at the Shibchar police station.

Shibchar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (CO) Miraj Hossain said that after filing the case, the police raided and arrested two people, including the main defendant. Initially the truth of the gang rape was discovered. The operation continues to arrest the remaining defendants. Akhi is basically a sex worker. Akhii caused this incident due to previous hostilities.
