The Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) has published five guidelines for admission to private secondary schools. Students must be admitted by lottery to private and government high school. The application date will be set by the school authorities, the fee has been set at 150 rupees.

The guidelines are to promote lottery activities through Facebook Live or any other social network to avoid public gatherings due to the Corona situation. To ensure transparency and accountability in lottery activities, representatives of the government, representatives of the school management committee, representatives of parents and representatives of teachers must be present. The lottery date must be set and the government admissions monitoring and oversight committee reported. Conduct lottery activities in accordance with hygiene rules and ensure that the student selection process is not questioned.

Meanwhile, the Department of Mausi has issued a notice for admission to government high schools. It has been said that by the academic year 2021, students will be admitted to 44 government high schools in the Dhaka metropolis from 1st to 9th class via lottery.

Students will be able to apply through this website https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd starting next Tuesday. The application fee is 110 rupees. There will be an opportunity to apply until December 28. The admission lottery will be held in all classes simultaneously on December 30th.

The notification was posted on the Mausi Department’s Facebook page on Saturday and at the same time the aforementioned instructions for private high schools were issued. However, it was not possible to upload the notification until last night due to technical glitches on the department’s website.

This time all the government high schools have been divided into three groups. Each bunch must be applied separately. However, students can choose a maximum of five schools from a group. Additionally, 50 percent of the “area fee” has been set for each school.
