‘I will not allow any insult or disrespect to the Father of the Nation’

Government officials and employees have demonstrated across the country, including the capital Dhaka, to protest the vandalism and insult to the sculpture of the nation’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The protest was held under the banner of ‘Official Government Forum’ at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka on Saturday. The program is coordinated by the Bangladesh Administrative Services Association.

The main guest said the chief secretary. Ahmed Kaikaus said: “We will not allow any insult or disrespect to the father of the nation in our lifetime. That is our promise today. ‘

He added: ‘We are the servants of the people. The father of the nation is part of our constitution. It is our responsibility to protect the constitution.

Helal Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Administrative Services Association and Senior Secretary of the LGRD Ministry delivered the welcoming address.

He said: ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is constitutionally recognized as the father of the nation. The relationship between Bangabandhu and independence is close.

“Any type of attack and insult to Bangabandhu will not be tolerated,” he added.

The Bangladesh Police Inspector General said on the show. Benazir Ahmed announced that attacks on the constitution and the state would be dealt with harshly.

Several thousand government officials were present at the event and representatives of all the cadres spoke.

Government officials and employees from across the country, including the capital Dhaka, today organized simultaneous protests against the vandalism of the Bangabandhu sculpture under construction in Kushtia on December 5.
