Stating that the Constitution and the state will be treated harshly, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed said that Bangabandhu is part of the constitution. Bangabandhu gave him the country and the flag, he gave him the map. An attack on him is an attack on the constitution and the state, an attack on the people. The state must treat it harshly through its laws and regulations.

He said this while addressing a rally at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital on Saturday under the banner of the Forum of Government Officials.

The country’s government officials have met across the country, including Dhaka, and said they will not allow any kind of insult and disrespect to the nation’s father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. They will not tolerate any kind of humiliation. Officials outside the cadre were also present at these rallies. At the same time, government officials held demonstrations in districts and upazilas across the country.

A large rally was held in Dhaka under the motto ‘Respect the father of the nation, I will support Mora Amlan’. It was chaired by the Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office. Ahmed Kaikaus. Helaluddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Administrative Services Association and Senior Secretary of the Department of Local Government delivered a welcoming speech.

Representatives of all the cadres spoke at the rally. Among them were Police Inspector General Benazir Ahmed, BCS Fiscal Association Secretary General Fazle Hayat Kaiser, BCS Women’s Network President, and Food Secretary Dr. Moshammat Nazmanara Khanum, Director General (DG) of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education Syed Golam Faruk on behalf of the BCS Board of Education, Bikash Kumar Saha, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Judicial Services Association and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Law, AM Selim Rezaar Shamsul Alam of the box, Sham Golam Kibria of the information box and others. Thousands of officials were present at the rally.

The IGP said: “We do not have the language to express our intense hatred and condemnation of the vampires who smashed the Bangabandhu sculpture last night.” As the country moves forward under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we have seen repeated attempts to roll back the country.

He said that Bangabandhu is part of my country’s constitution. Bangabandhu means Bangladesh, Bangabandhu gave the map of Bangladesh, gave recognition to the Bengali language. Attack on the Bangabandhu sculpture means attack on the constitution, attack on the state, attack on the people of the country.

“I will not speak of protest,” said the police chief. Because we are part of the government. Any type of attack against the state, against the country, against the people, we must confront it through the laws in force in this country. The state must treat them harshly through the rules it has, the laws it has in the country. We, as employees of the state, as part of the state, want to reassure and reassure 160 million people, we will deal with them with a heavy hand. The vandalism of the Bangabandhu sculpture is against the state, against the constitution.
