Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said that the government has spent an average of Tk 4 lakh on each hospital ICU bed. The government has spent an average of 1 lakh 30 lakhs for normal bed patients.
Health Minister Corona provided this information on the cost of treatment at a seminar held at a hotel in the capital on Saturday. The seminar was organized by the Health Economics Unit of the Ministry of Health on the occasion of the ‘Day of Universal Health Care-2020’.
As the main guest, Zahid Malek said that with the proper leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the efforts of thousands of healthcare workers, Kovid-19 is still under control in the country. Covid is being treated for free from the beginning. Emergency and necessary medications have been stored. The number of hospitals and beds has increased at the right time. The Quid-19 testing centers have been rapidly upgraded from 1 to 120. In a short time, a central oxygen system has been implemented in 59 hospitals across the country.
Telemedicine has served 2.5 million people in the country. As a result, infections have decreased, mortality has decreased, and the country has not suffered economically.
