Maradona left the country on November 25 crying for millions of sports fans around the world. The Argentine legend is not at peace even after all.
The sons, the ex-wife and the girlfriend have started fighting over ownership of the property worth between 1 and 4 million rupees that he left behind. The matter has been taken to court. Lawsuits have been filed to dig Maradona’s grave if necessary to gather evidence.
Many of those who did not recognize Maradona as his children while he was alive now claim to be Maradona’s children. If his case goes to court, Maradona could be raised from the grave for a DNA test.
Mauricio Dalesendro, who has worked as Maradona’s attorney for the past several years, said he did not know who would want to share the property, but he would not be surprised if the list continued. But those who claim to be Maradona’s children will have to go quickly to court.
The exact amount of Maradona’s assets is unknown. However, according to Forbes magazine, the current amount of the previous legend can be from 1 to 40 million dollars. Includes land, houses, luxury cars, and jewelry.
Maradona’s five recognized sons can claim a share of the property. Four of them live in Argentina, one in Italy. All six also claimed to be Maradona’s children.
But while Maradona was alive, he said he had no other children than Giannina (31) and Dalma (33). They are both children of Maradona’s ex-wife, Claudia Villafen.
