Visitors return to their destinations after spending time on the bridge link road project and the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway. Many have revisited the Padma Bridge on motorized trawlers. Those who rented trawlers also returned due to an army obstruction before approaching the bridge.
On September 30, 2016, the first tranche was laid on Pillars 38 and 38 at Naodoba in the Jajira area of Shariatpur. After 3 years, the last span was placed on pillars No. 12 and 13 at Mawaprante in Munshiganj on Thursday and the 6.15 km bridge was visible. The rail and slab placement work on the first floor of the bridge and carriageway slab on the second floor will now continue.

Honors student KM Redwan Ahmed has come from Dhaka. He said, I’ve been listening over the Padma Bridge for a long time. Yesterday I heard that all the openings have been placed. So I couldn’t stay still; I came to see today.
Kamrul Islam, a businessman from Chawkbazar, said: “After installing section 41 yesterday, I came to see the Padma Bridge with my whole family on Friday; But the army did not allow people to enter. Then I will eat and drink at the Padmapara hotel.
Awami League leader Moslem Madbar said the last span of the Padma Bridge was laid on Thursday at noon. After that, ordinary people come to Padmapara in the Naodoba area of Jajira upazila of Shariatpur to see from different areas including Dhaka. There is joy in them. There is a flood of happiness even among the local population.
Asaduzzaman Ripon said: “When we learned that the last section of the Padma Bridge had been installed after giving up the ancestral lands to the Padma Bridge; So we have no more sadness in our minds. Visitors have been seen coming and rejoicing since Friday morning.
Jazira Upazila Nirbahi’s official, Ashrafuzzamal Bhuiyan, said that the socioeconomic condition and livelihoods of the southwest region will change as the Padma Bridge is a dream. The people of Padmapara have a lot of passion and love involved in this bridge. As the bridge is fully visible, there are a crowd of people and visitors in Padmapara.
