In Sunamganj, a young man named Enamul Haque Musa Talha (4) was charged with murder by crushing the head with a stone. The incident took place in the Gujaura area of Hasannagar on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Nurul Haque from Gujaura village in Talha municipality. At that time, the locals arrested the killer named Abdul Halim and handed him over to the police.
Halim’s house is in the Moinpur village of Surma union in Sadar upazila. The entire incident of torturing the girl Talha was caught on a nearby closed-circuit television camera, locals said.
According to the police and the victim’s family, Enamul Haque Talha was playing in front of the house on Friday afternoon. Abdul Halim, who was walking down the road, kicked him first. Then he hit the head with a heavy stone. Talha’s head was crushed and bleeding heavily. The incident took place without the knowledge of his relatives.
At that time, the people in the next house brought Talha to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital. When his condition deteriorated there, he was transferred to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. Talhar died at night while receiving treatment at Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Sunamganj Sadar Model Police OC said. Shahidur Rahman told Jugantar that the incident was very tragic. The locals arrested the young man and handed him over to the police. He is being interrogated. There is a pending case against the young man.
The OC added that the scene of the boy’s torture was caught on nearby closed-circuit television. We are investigating it.
