The connectivity that will be created with the south as a result of the construction of this bridge will contribute directly to our GDP.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina challenged the almighty World Bank by saying: “We will build the Padma Bridge with our own money.” The plan to build a bridge for a less developed country at a cost of Rs 30,193 crore without any foreign help was an adventurous move. The bridge will be a symbol of trust and security for the country’s people instead of relying on foreign aid for development projects. Many modern quality hotels and resorts will be built. The bridge will play an important role in regional connectivity between Asia and Southeast Asia. This bridge will also play an important role in turning Bangladesh into a developed country in 2035-40.
Economists say that the Padma Bridge has already created a kind of trust among South Bengal entrepreneurs. Large-scale development of the shipbuilding, tourism and small and medium-sized business sector will take place around this bridge. A tourist center will be installed in that area. Travelers will run directly from Dhaka.
According to experts, a big dream is about to come true, as the main infrastructure of the Padma Bridge has been established. If the rest of the work is completed on time, we will get immediate benefits from the travel facilities. It will take much less time to get in and out of Dhaka. The cost of freight transportation will be reduced. As a result, the business speed will increase. Investors will now show interest in investing in the Southwest. However, some complementary issues need to be improved. Because the Padma Bridge has also posed a new challenge for us, which is to bring the benefits of the bridge to everyone. If the Padma bridge opens, the commercial speed will increase in the southern part of the country. Investors will show interest in investing in the Southwest. Now some of the accessories need to be improved. To reach the people of the villages or char areas that are connected to the Padma Bridge, they have to make the connection to the bridge.
