A housewife cut off a young man’s penis while trying to rape her in Shyamnagar in Satkhira district. The incident took place in the village of Durgabati in the union of the Upazila of Burigoalini. Furthermore, a man named Samad Gazi (55) has been arrested in Kaliganj on charges of attempted rape. He is the son of the late Belayet Gazi from the Champaful area in Upazila.
Shyamnagar OC Police Station (Investigation) Kazi Shahidul Islam said 18-year-old Md Khairul Islam, the son of Kamrul Islam from Durgabati village, used to harass a local housewife with regular bad offers. On Thursday night, when the young man entered the house of the housewife and tried to rape her, the housewife cut off his genitals. The young man quickly fled the scene. Later, the housewife together with her husband and mother-in-law filed a lawsuit against the young man at the Shyamnagar Police Station. Police arrested Khairul on Friday after verifying the incident.

Later, when the housewife filed a case as a plaintiff, the police raided the house on Friday morning and arrested Samad Ghazi. The defendant was sent to the district jail through a wise court on Friday.
