A schoolgirl has been detained for five days for allegedly taking her for a walk. At that time, five people, including her boyfriend, raped her. The incident took place at Manohardi in Narsingdi. The schoolgirl’s mother filed a case against her boyfriend Shaon Mia and his associates at the Manohardi Police Station on Wednesday night.
Defendant Shaon Mia is the son of Gias Uddin from Changain village in the Chalakchar union of Manohardi upazila. The other defendants are- Md. Ashik (23), Md. Mubarak Hossain (22), Md. Sumon (22) and Mubarak Hossain (22).
Police officer Manohardi in charge (OC) said. Moniruzzaman said defendant Shaon Mia had a love affair with the schoolgirl. On Thursday, December 3, Shaon called the girl from her home and took her away. After a long day in the park, Shawn and his four companions take him to an unknown location. Shaon and her accomplices raped the schoolgirl for five days in a row. Last Tuesday night, the girl stayed behind at the market.
The CO further said that the tortured student was sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital for a medical examination on Thursday afternoon. The defendants have been on the run since the incident. An operation is underway to stop them.
