Sonargaon police recovered the packed body of a boy named Jisan Mia (7) from the Morishtek village of Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj on Thursday afternoon, 10 days after his disappearance. The deceased was identified as Jisan BR, son of Ilias Sheikh, owner of Spinning Limited.
Police and relatives of the late Jisan said that Jisan disappeared on December 1 from the Matistech area of Jampur Union in Upazila. Later, his father, Ilias Sheikh, kept a general diary at the Sonargaon Police Station. The police recovered Jisan’s half-decomposed body from the kitchen next door 10 days after he disappeared. Narayanganj District Police Additional Superintendent (crime) TM Mosharraf Hossain, Circle ‘B’ Additional Police Superintendent. Khorshed Alam, officer in charge of OC Rafiqul Islam Police Station and Taltola Research Center in charge, Ahsan Ullah, visited the scene.
Elias Sheikh, the father of the late Jisan, said he works as a gardener at BR Spinning Limited. I don’t know who killed my son. But I demand justice for the murder of my son.
Sonargaon OC Rafiqul Islam Police Station said the body was recovered and sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy. Police are working to identify and arrest those involved in the killings.
