Joy said: “I believe that Bangladesh will be the next leader on the path of the next fourth industrial revolution. I hope that Bangladesh will be the main leader of this industrial revolution. “
Explaining the reason for this hope, he said: “We have the capacity. We have shown that we can do it. “
With the advancement of information technology, the application of artificial intelligence, the innovation of biotechnology, quantum computing, the fourth industrial revolution or digital revolution is expected to change the world very quickly.
Joy, the IT adviser to the Prime Minister, said: “We want to be a leader in the next generation of technology, not just adopt other people’s technology. We want to advance the next generation of technology.
“I think it is not a dream, it is possible. What technology will come for the next generation, it does not work without knowing it. But I promise you that a part will come from Bangladesh.”
He highlighted the need for Bangladesh to stay active through the use of information technology in the coronavirus epidemic.
“Technology is playing a key role in the new normal situation that is occurring during the epidemic. Almost every country in the world has stopped various economic activities. The year 2020 has completely taken us by surprise. This is where digitization has shown value. Everything in the economy is happening virtually. “
“We are looking at the next chapter … we will see what technology is coming in the future,” Joy said.
The Prime Minister’s advisor said that Bangladesh aims to excel in various fields of information technology to become a leader on the path of the fourth industrial revolution.
“Bangladesh is monitoring areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, nanotechnology, biotechnology, robotics, microprocessor design, software design for the fourth industrial revolution.”
“We are focusing on research for the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” he said.
To achieve the SDG targets, Bangladesh will focus on online security and data security, Joy said.
The Minister of State for Information Technology, Junaid Ahmed Palak, chaired the function.
