A circus elephant who came to collect money in the border market area of ​​Sirajganj Sadar Upazila has died. After hearing the news, people of different ages have come from different parts of the country to see it since the morning.

After receiving treatment in Naogaon district, he arrived in Sirajganj on Wednesday to collect money for the past month. The elephant was killed behind a gasoline bomb at Simant Bazar in the Ratankandi Union of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila at 6 a.m. Thursday.

Mahut Sohel Hossain of the elephant said that on the way back to Naogaon after treating the elephant for a long time, the border market for upazila really made him sicker. He became seriously ill at night. He died at 6 in the morning. The elephant is 65 years old.

Mahut said that his owner has 5 more elephants. Upon receiving the news of the death, the owner left. In fact, he will decide on the dead elephant.

The current owner of the elephant is Abdul Jalil Sarkar de Sylhet. When he received a call on his mobile, he cut it off after receiving it. He called several times but did not answer.

Mamun Biswas, president of the local environmental organization Bird Safety House, said: “I have been trying to communicate with the elephants since midnight after hearing the news.” The elephant died when I could communicate.

Rajshahi Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Officer Jahangir Kabir said it would be investigated whether the privately owned elephant was negligent in its treatment.
