French President Emmanuel Macron has been talking about a law to curb extremism for some time. That law has finally been enacted. However, the French administration said it did not specifically mention people of any religion.

According to Turkey-based news outlet TRT World, the law has already been debated. The law states that children must be admitted to school when they are 3 years old. Home education cannot be organized without special permission. The French government thinks that this ‘secret’ school inside the house is the one that leads the minds of children to extremism.

The new law says mosques must be officially registered. So the government can fully monitor them. The sources of income and the income and expenses of mosques should be disclosed periodically.

The law also prohibits women from wearing the hijab, but it does not directly prohibit it. It has been said that one has to wear prescribed clothing for different places, including the market, the swimming pool. This rule cannot be broken in any way.

Meanwhile, the French government has said that the law will be a bulwark against the secularism that Emmanuel Macron speaks of. This law is not against any religion. Various laws have been imposed to prevent extremism from escalating in any way.

Meanwhile, Qatar-based Al Jazeera reported that France had passed a law to increase surveillance of mosques, associations, government offices and schools. However, no word ‘Islam’ or ‘Muslim’ was mentioned in the 50-section law.

French Prime Minister Jean Castex has said the anti-Muslim law is already a matter of protection. This law was not made against any religion. On the contrary, it will free Muslims from extremism, he added.
