Twenty-five agents with the rank of Police Superintendent (SP) have been transferred to the entire country. Among them are the PS of 13 districts. His transfer was ordered on Wednesday in multiple notifications from the Interior Ministry’s public security department.
Transferred officers include SP Alamgir Kabir from Rangamati at the police headquarters, SP Saiful Islam from Barisal district at the Dhaka Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), SP Syed Nurul Islam from Comilla at the Metropolitan Police of Dhaka (DMP) and SP Sheikh Rafiqul Islam from Pabna at the police headquarters. Rahman Khan in Dhaka CID, Magura SP Khan Muhammad Rezyan in Dhaka CID, Thakurgaon SP Moha. Moniruzzaman in the Dhaka Special Protection Battalion (SPBN-1) and Rajbari SP. Mizanur Rahman has been transferred to Dhaka CID.
Moulvibazar SP Farooq Ahmed has been in charge of Comilla and Barguna SP Maruf Hossain has been in charge of Barisal SP. SP Mahibul Islam Khan from Kurigram has been transferred to Pabna, SP Kazi Ashraful Azim from Sherpur has been transferred as SP from Gazipur. Cox’s Bazar District In-Service Training Center Commander Tariqul Islam has been transferred as Commander of Cox Bazar-17 Armed Police Battalion.
