In Sitakunda, Chittagong, a 70-year-old man raped a 40-year-old woman after falling in love with her. Police arrested the accused rapist on Wednesday morning after the victim escaped from the old man’s clutches and filed a complaint with the police station. A case has been filed in this regard.
According to the case brought to the police station, 60-year-old Tajul Islam Prakash Bhola Miah, son of the late Delwar Hossain from Kazi Bari, South Fedainagar, Bariardhala Union, had a love affair with divorced housewife Morzina (pseudonym) in the Kumira area in Sitakunda. At one point, Bhola Mia proposed to the housewife and she spoke to the family members and told them that she would get married only if she liked seeing him. Meanwhile, housewife Morzina went to Bhola’s house on the afternoon of November 30 when Bhola Mia offered to meet her again and again. Bhola then locked her in a room and raped her repeatedly.
The police raided the scene and arrested the defendant Tajul Islam Bhola Mia.
Sitakunda OC Police Station (investigation) Sumon Banik said a case has been brought up in the incident. We have arrested the defendant. The defendants will be sent to court on Thursday morning.
