The corona virus has already infected 67.5 million people worldwide. And 15 lakh 72 thousand people have died due to the infection of this virus.
The UK has finally approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine in humans.
But is this vaccine halal or haram? The Bangladeshi community in London is debating this. The Bangla Housing Association and the East Hands charity are known to be running separate awareness activities in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Burking, Degenham and Covid-19 in East London.
In recent days, several Muslims from Bangladesh have approached the two organizations with a question: Is it halal or haram for Britain to approve the Corona Vaccine Pfizer vaccine?
Nawab Uddin, President of East Hands, a UK-based international charity, said: “Every day at the East Hands Food Bank in Shadwell, East London, our volunteers are faced with a number of questions. people want to know what ingredients have been administered in the vaccine. Is there something forbidden in it? Many people want to know if any Bangladeshi participated in this vaccine trial.
These questions have arisen in the Bangladesh Daily’s London office in recent days. Mainullah, a 70-year-old man, said he did not want to be vaccinated. Because you have heard that taking this vaccine will cause various reactions in the body. There are also several questions about whether the vaccine is halal or haram. The age of those who asked the question is 40 to 60 years.
Due to confusion over the vaccine, the British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA) said in a press release that it was safe that the Pfizer vaccine allowed in Britain did not contain animal fat or parts. Also, they noted that the vaccine has been tested by a separate drug regulatory body, so it is certain that there are no major side effects other than the common small vaccine.
In this context, said Islamic academic and media personality Maulana Abdur Rahman Madani, there is nothing wrong with this comment. Even if there are some, it is allowed to save lives as there is no alternative.
For example, we know for sure that there is gelatin in the flu, whether it is from animal fat or not, but there is nothing wrong with using it to save the lives of many of our elderly.
For reference, once the Companions became jaundiced, our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told them to mix a very small amount of camel urine with camel milk. Here camel milk is halal and urine is haram. It can be taken once our prophet has allowed it.
